Continuing Medical Education

The California Podiatric Medical Association is approved as a sponsor for continuing education by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME).  If you are attending from a state that requires approval other than that of the CPME, please call (800) 794-8988.

California Podiatric Medical Association is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a sponsor of continuing education in podiatric medicine.  Attendees of The Western Podiatric Medical Congress may earn up to 27.33 continuing medical education contact hours.  In accordance with the CPME, The Western is required to monitor educational attendance for continuing medical education (CME) verification.

To receive CME contact hours, each attendee must verify attendance twice daily and give one copy of the stamped receipt to The Western at the end of the conference.  A certificate showing credits earned will be mailed to the attendee’s address provided at registration by August 29, 2008.

 

Radiology


Doctors of Podiatric Medicine will be able to attain 8.83 radiology continuing education contact hours to meet California Radiology Continuing Education requirements.  The radiology continuing education lectures are included in the Doctors’ General Sessions.

Podiatric Medical Assistants can earn a total of 12.58 radiology continuing education contact hours to meet California Radiology Continuing Education requirements.  To attain all 12.58 hours, assistants must attend the Assistants’ Radiology Course on Thursday, June 19 (6 contact hours), the Assistants’ Program on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 (4.28 contact hours), and the Cadaver/Anatomy Workshop on Saturday, June 21 (2 contact hours).
