ADDRESSING THE CHRONICALLY UNSTABLE ANKLE (CADAVER)

This workshop will focus on soft tissue pathology of the lateral, medial and posterior ankle.

During this session, participants will review and perform the following procedures:

Lateral ankle ligament reconstruction
Calcaneal alignment osteotomies
Soft tissue release techniques
Forefoot deformity correction


FRIDAY, JUNE 23

BASIC ARTHROSCOPY (CADAVER)*

3.5 CECH (.5 RADIOLOGY CECH)
LIMITED TO 16 LEARNERS

This workshop will cover basic, contemporary arthroscopic techniques used to address intra-articular pathology of the ankle. Introduction to the instrumentation and approaches to the more common and basic ankle arthroscopic techniques will be discussed. The registrants will have hands-on training in these arthroscopic techniques. This will include synovectomy, removal of loose bodes, and microfracture techniques for chondral defects.

Those practitioners who have completed the Basic Arthroscopy workshop or a comparable course and feel comfortable performing advanced skills will be instructed on more advanced techniques.

ULTRASOUND OF THE FOOT & ANKLE

LIMITED TO 28 LEARNERS

This hands–on program will provide the basics of using ultrasound, diagnostic imaging and ultrasound–guided
procedures. Participants will get ample time to practice the techniques under the guidance of experienced faculty.

SATURDAY, JUNE 24

COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO THE SURGICAL FLATFOOT (SAW BONES)

This workshop will focus on soft tissue and bony pathology leading to development of reducible flatfoot deformity.

During this session, participants will review and perform the following procedures:

Lateral column osseous procedures
Medial column osseous procedures
Tendon transfer techniques
Rearfoot and midfoot arthrodesis
